Back Stretching At Your Desk

Taking a break from desk work is one of the best ways to avoid back pain, neck pain or repetitive strain injuries associated with desk work. During your break, you should get up and move around. Checking your personal email or playing solitaire at your computer is NOT considered a break because you are still seated and working on a computer.

To get the most benefit out of your break, try some simple back stretching exercises at your desk. The following desk stretch is great because it is both a hamstring stretch and a back stretch.  It will help improve your posture at your desk and relieve back tension from prolonged sitting.
